Sendafa-Beke town is located in Oromia National Regional State, Special Zone of Oromia Surrounding Finfine, at a distance of 38 km from Addis Ababa. Its astronomical location is 9006’14″to 9010’30” N latitude and 38057’60” to 390 04’53” E longitude.
The town was founded in 1935, and got municipal status in 1979. Sendafa-Beke is one of the reform towns in the region and has a city administration, municipality and 2 kebeles. Currently it is categorized in 2B. The town has Development Plan which was prepared in 2008.
